Don José Salomón Ayala Streets, was a journalist and teacher of outstanding career in Chalatenango. It was a friendly and outgoing person, was commonly found on the street and speak to him even when they knew it.

He worked for more than two decades at the Instituto Nacional Dr. Francisco Martínez Suárez (INFRAMS), in the city of Chalatenango. He had a penchant for the outdoors, for that reason decided to serve as teachers in agricultural areas.

Also served as radio correspondent YSKL and El Diario de Hoy, by the department of Chalatenango. Many of the historic news that happened in the late nineties and early 2000s in our department, we know thanks to his outstanding contribution and collaborative spirit and teamwork, no matter taking time away from his family because the responsibility came first.

Among his career highlights also being candidate for mayor of the municipality of Chalatenango on one occasion as well as being a contributor to the House of Culture of the same municipality.

The January 19, 2007 was hit by a vehicle off a bus of Route 125, opposite the INFRAMS experimental farm (across from the Gregorio Martínez). He stayed nine days between life and death in the hospital Social Security Specialties in San Salvador, and finally lost the battle. He died at age 53, leaving a legacy of outstanding communicator department and a well-liked teacher among his students and acquaintances.
